Green thumbs don’t need really conventional pots to grow plants; they always find ways to source containers in and around them. My father is like that, he grows plants in cut shampoo bottles, old tins, buckets, tires and what not. I did not appreciate them when I was young as I always felt that they look cheap and take away the beauty of the plants. With time, I have grown wiser and have learned to appreciate the effort behind them. So, how creative can one get with planting ideas? I sourced a couple of ideas and fell in love with the concepts and am inspired to try them in my decor. Check them out.

All of them are so pretty.. I loved them all!! Truth is.. even my mom grows plants in anything.. and like you said.. I rarely appreciate it… Time to go have another look at those lovely containers…

great ideas.The attention shifts to the container than the plant.therefore i think these ideas can give a cool look to even the most common plant.I liked the last one.I feel it makes for a good partition too!
how fun! I love using old cans for plants and whatnot. It reminds me of Beirut where you see on every balcony a row of old milk cans (powdered Nido) filled with the usual mint and basil! The eggs are a great idea too
